The Mecklenburg County Bar featured Dale Tincher in two full-day Technology and The Practice of Law seminars November 1999. The seminars were conducted at the Charlotte Convention Center and Mecklenburg County Bar Center. The courses provided 13 hours of Practical Skills CLE credits and will be rescheduled.  Dale conducted a Legal Web Marketing presentation at the Mecklenburg County Bar Center May 17, 2001. 

Dale Tincher was a member of the faculty of the annual American Bar Association ABA TECHSHOW in Chicago, Illinois, March 30th through April 1st, 2000 and 2005. His presentations may be found on the Consultwebs.com's PowerPoint Presentations page. Additional presentations / classes included a September 2000 presentation to a Wake Forest University Law School class and an October 18, 2000 3-hour Web planning and design presentation to the North Carolina Association of Rehabilitation Facilities and a September 22, 2000 presentation to the North Carolina Legal Assistants Association.  Additional engagements included a December 14-15, 2000, 2-day Web design training class for the New Mexico National Guard. Dale joined the faculty for three panel sessions for the American Bar Association, LegalTech Atlanta, November 30th - December 1, 2000.  He was a speaker for the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers' "Time and Technology" seminar February 23, 2001.  Dale's presentation (3:15 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.) was, "Using the Internet to Market your Firm."

Dale presented Internet topics at two sessions of the North Carolina Bar Association's 2001 annual meeting in Asheville, North Carolina.  He was also a guest speaker for the State Bar of Georgia's June 13-17th annual meeting at the Kiawah Island Resort, Kiawah Island, SC.

Other seminars included an American Lawyer Media Event panel presentation at LegalTech New Orleans, December 6, 2001 on Intranets & Extranets: Is Intranet/Extranet technology bringing more clients to the firm? From the costs and content flow to marketing externally as well as internally, everything from A to Z on Intranets and Extranets for the aggressive and progressive mid-sized firm!  Dale participated in an update to this seminar at LegalTech New York February 5, 2002.  Dale was engaged  for two speaking engagements at the North Carolina Bar Association's 2001 Annual Meeting June 21-24, 2001 at the Grove Park Inn, Asheville, NC.   He participated in three Internet, Intranet and Extranet panel sessions during LegalTech Los Angeles May 9-10, 2002 and presented an Internet development session for the Missouri Bar Association Friday, June 14, 2002 at Lake Ozarks, Missouri as well as Intranet and Extranet sessions sponsored by LegalTech in New York September 19th and 20th, 2002 and sessions at the Wisconsin Bar Association 5, 2002.  Future sessions include LawTech 2003 at the Tennessee Bar Association in January 2003, numerous North Carolina Bar Association CLE training sessions and engagements to speak North Carolina Bar Association annual meeting.  For a full listing of audiences to whom we have presented and our lead consultant's credentials, please see Dale's biography.

Demonstrated will be the use of e-mail to communicate with clients, searching for legal information and conducting legal research in various courts, municipalities, and law libraries on-line, downloading the information you need and networking with other lawyers through special on-line services. This "hands-on" course will lead you to legal resources on the Internet. You will visit the GPO Printing Office (U.S. Code, CFR's), U.S. Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, the 4th Circuit, and law school libraries. Learn where to find statutes, opinions and regulations, and visit the North Carolina legislature site. You will have an opportunity to experiment with e-mail and visit special legal sites. Note: Course additions include using boolean logic and other methods to refine searches. We will also visit the site of the newly added, searchable North Carolina General Statutes. Time and Billing for Lawyers

Time and billing packages are imperative for keeping accurate time records, maintaining proper billing practices, and maintaining a good relationship with your clients. This seminar will cover how to select at time and billing package, what the criteria are to measure what will work for your office, and how the package you select will mesh with software you already have. These sessions will be "hands-on" in the computer training center.

Trends in Law Office Technology

Many law firms are now utilizing the Internet to develop their practices and stay competitive in today's marketplace through use of a website. However, a poorly constructed website can reflect negatively on a law practice. This presentation will provide examples of good and bad law firm websites across the country and will teach how a good website is developed and maintained. Drafting Legal Documents the Automated Way

A Past Course - Listed for Content Purposes

The focus of this program is to provide lawyers with the practical skills necessary to draft contracts, wills and other legal documents utilizing automation.  Empasis will be placed upon the drafting of a simple will for a fictitious client.  All participants will draft the sample will at their own computer using a common document assembly program called HotDocs.  Other examples of legal drafting will include pleadings and Articles of Incorporation.  This seminar is a must for the transactional law firm and highly recommended for any firm which generates significant repetitive paperwork.
